CONCERT NOTE

Inspired by the "Disparates" (Follies) by the Spanish painter Francisco de Goya (1746-1828), Fuentes creates a series of works for solo guitar of a high technical level. However, virtuosity does not detract from the musicality of these works, where the characteristic features of Fuentes' music always appear. We thus see a harmonic unfolding of the consonance that leads to the sound texture and the rhythm that surprisingly contains several layers of a continuous counterpoint. The complete cycle consists of 22 works.

Inspirado en los "Disparates" (Follies) del pintor español Francisco de Goya (1746-1828), Fuentes crea un ciclo de obras para guitarra solista de alto nivel técnico. Sin embargo, el virtuosismo no desvirtúa la musicalidad de estas obras, donde siempre aparecen los rasgos característicos de la música de Fuentes. Vemos así un desenvolvimiento armónico de la consonancia que lleva a la textura sonora y el ritmo que sorpresívamente encierra varias capas de un contrapunto continuo. El ciclo completo consta de 22 obras.
