Capricho Sopla
Since more than 10 years I’ve been working in a serie of pieces for guitar that focuses on, so to say, “new technics” for this instrument. I’ve been quite attracted by the tapping technic that we usually find in the rock scene. This technic uses both hands making melodies or rhythms directly on the board of the instrument. I approached this technic in a more personal way, by mixing it with all the classical technical possibilities of sound production. In Sopla, I try to integrate two sonic worlds of the guitar, one timbral and another percussive and rhythmical. This piece is dedicated to Jürgen Ruck. - Arturo Fuentes

Seit mehr als zehn Jahren arbeite ich an einer Serie von Gitarrenstücken, in deren Zentrum die Beschäftigung mit den sogenannten "neuen Spieltechniken" für dieses Instrument steht. Ich war sehr von den Tapping-Technik angezogen, die normalerweise im Rock zu finden ist. Sie verwendet beide Hände um sowohl die Melodie als auch Rhytmen direkt am Griffbrett zu erzeugen. Mein Zugang ist ein persönlicher, ich vermische diese mit den klassischen Spieltechniken. Sopla ist der Versuch zwei Klangwelten der Gitarre zu vereinen: die klangfarbliche (timbrale) und die perkussiv-rhythmische. Das Stück ist Jürgen Ruck gewidmet. - Arturo Fuentes
